Problem in Downloading MME Premium 18

nirvanray wrote on 9/12/2013, 7:47 AM

Someone please help me.

I had re-installed my MME Premium 18 due to some reasons and again had the same installed almost immediately.

But now I cannot download stuff like MAGIX Bullet Looks, proDAD and BlueFX Light Bends. It is very frustrating as they are not wroking. I had purchased the product a year back.

Someone please help.

Screenshots of the problem are attached.

nirvanray,

Your screen shot shows that the download are at least starting, rather than being grayed out and unavailable. Did you completely un-install before starting your reinstall(s)? My suggestions are to first try a 'Repair' option which come up when you try an installation on top of an existing program. If that doesn't help then do a Windows uninstall of of the program.

Regards,

Carl

Hi Anirban,
I see that Carl responded with an idea to try.  If that does not work, you may need to dig out your original email receipt and scroll to the bottom to re-register and download the software from the company.  There may be a time limit so you may have to write to their sales department to see if they can help you (not Magix but Prodad, NewBlue, and Red Giant).  If that does not work the only other thing I can think of is to upgrade to MEP 2014, which is now available.  It does not have the exact same bonus products, but I am downloading the trial right now and will let you know what I think.

Hi Anirban

To add to Carls post - if you try to re-install again use the Magix Cleanup tool available here to remove all remnants of the install that the Windows installer leaves behind before attempting the install.

MEP2014 trials I have done so far look good - however I would say that on my new computer I see very little difference in speed - I really need to test it on my old Win 7 computer.

Dear John,

Thanks for the help. But It is not actually clear what to do? I mean there are so many options here. Which one to click and how to do so? Please advise.

I have attached the screenshot and selected the a section. Do you mean that this is the one that I need to download and while the I re-install, I need to open this one one simultaneously?

Plz help.

Hey Anirban,

It looks like you actually do have at least photomanager installed per your original screen shot.

It is possible that you also installed Music Editor, it is a free program.

To use the clean up tool you need to follow this process.

1. Please remove the current installation of the software through the Control Panel. This also needs to be done for Trial versions.

2. Go to your Download area and download the MAGIX Cleaner Tool, run the clean up software after the uninstallation.

http://support2.magix.net/customer/en/download

3. You should receive a success confirmation message once the Cleaning software has run.

4. Reinstall your software. We recommend disconnecting your internet connection and then deactivating or temporarily uninstalling your Internet Security or Anti-Virus software, as they often will interfere with the installation. Make sure you also use the option to install for All Users, do not install as a Private Installation.

5. The program should now work with no problems.

6. Then reactivate your security software and then reconnect your internet connection. You can now download any software updates and re-register the software.
