Problems with no sound in files when imported into Movie edit pro 2016

Hello there! I have run into an issue. I have an elgato HD60 pro that I capture game play with from my xbox one. I wanted to edit some clips from what I had, but when I imported the file into movie edit pro 2016 or even drag and dropped. I would have no sound when playing the video through movie edit pro. I even tried splitting the tracks to separate audio from video and still got nothing. Now if I try to play the video in say... another program, like from the elgota software or even windows media player which play the audio with the video, as well as trying to convert the video into an mp3 to play along side the video. i have tried for about three days now and still no luck. If someone could help me out that would be wonderful! And thanks!

@Nick-Price

Try the fix suggested by @DugsBugs in this post. It has worked for many others.
