proDAD Mercalli stabilizer default settings

wongck wrote on 6/2/2018, 9:16 PM

So this one been bugging me for over 2 years now.

Every time I use proDAD Mercalli stabilizer on a new video clip, I have to change the settings to my liking. It does not remember my previous settings used on a previous clip that I just done.

Is there a way to change some of the defaults settings, so that I do not need keep on changing it on a new clip?

@wongck

Hi

You can save and load different 'base' parameters by clicking the options shown below - this is for Mercalli v4. You do have to reload the preset each time you restart MEP, however between clips, the parameters hold, however you do still have to do the analysis.

Thanks John.

Yes. I am saving my settings. But when I select a bunch of videos and do the analysis, setting stay but it will always default to "without borders" even when I have set it to "optimal stabilization". The 1st one will be at "optimal stabilization" but the rest will default back to "without borders". I will then have to go one-by-one to set it to "optimal stabilization" and it forces an analysis again for each one I change, wasting my time.

Hi

I am finding with V4 that the Universal Camera setting does a clip at the default settings ie 40% Steadiness then you do another clip and it goes to 100% Steadiness and I have to adjust the sliders back to much less. Very tedious.

Glide camera does not seem to suffer from the same problem, keeping the 30% Stabi and defaults for that preset.

Anyone else see this?
