Put music

stsegal33 wrote on 2/27/2015, 8:50 AM

Hi!

I have almost give up on the putting music from Media player to my project. Just skip it.
Even though I found the place of my music, I could not find music there. It is ok.

-My question is: If I want to, instead, put music from Youtube directly to my project what I have to do?

-Second question is I have CD and I want to extract music from CD music into my project. What do I have to do?

You said you never use media player to put music. So what do you use instead and guide me please what I have to do.

Thank u

Hi,

The others have already replied to your other question.

Forget about Media player. It is a player of audio files. Playlists are just lists that you create of audio files, not the audio files themselves. The playlists made in Media player only work in Media player. Media player simply goes and plays the audio file that is on the list.

The main Audio file formats have the extensions .wav ,.mp3 and .ogg. Use Windows Explorer to search for files that have these extensions. They are usually under My Music. When you find one, simply drag the file onto the timeline in Movie Edit Pro (MEP).

Alternatively, you can navigate to the appropriate folder in the Media Pool of MEP. Under the Import tab, select My media, My music or Slideshow Music. See the images below. All of the files with the musical note are audio files, with and extension of .wav, .mp3 or .ogg. Open the other folders shown to find more audio files.

I strongly suggest that you read the manual, because getting audio, video and image files and putting them on the timeline is very basic.

To be honest with you, the quality of your tutorial is not good. You  have to be aware that people who purchase your product are from all around the world and different age and understanding. I have heard before that your quality is not good. It explain very fast, short , sometimes you do not point out the subject of the talk. Only very shortly, you explain. For instance, When we install the product, there are also Magix Goya burner, we have Magix music manager, but there is no proper tutorial about that. or if it is, it is very short. I believe you have to take your time and explain very easily and slowly. I have heard from the others, that is why people prefer, Windows Moviemaker, and they use it.
Sorry for I am saying that, but I listen to tutorial but it is very formality and abstract, it is not good.

@ stsegal33

This is a users forum, provided by Magix for the users of their software, run by users and contibuted to by users.

. . . . You  have to be aware that people who purchase your product are from all around the world and different age and understanding. . . . .

This is not our product.  We are users like yourself.

To criticise someone tutorials because you do not unerstand them is not necessary nor polite, especially when those users have a great deal of experience using Magix products - the end result will be an unwillingness to help you.

From the questions you have asked, and the comments made, I would suggest you do the following:

Read the installed PDF manuals

These are available under the Help menu in the programs.

Research the Internet for:-

Audio CD - how they are structured and the file formats used

Windows Media Playlists - what they are and how they work.

Youtube for tutorials on using Movie Edit Pro

Ok,

I saw the tutorial on YouTube, and they are from 2013 and forth. I actually wanted to upgrade my magix from 2007 to 20215 but before I did, the windows warned me about the trust of the website.

I went to help—additional function and –activate online. When I checked shall I trust this web side, window warned me. What I have to do to upgrade to the new one and see the tutorial on YouTube, it might be better.  I live outside of USA..

Thank you
