Question: How to add new font to Magix Movie Studio 2025 in Windows?

How do I add a new font for the title editing window? I've tried to add "GC Horizon" in OpenType Font file and TrueType font file versions into Windows 10 (Either one will over-write the other upon install). I will see the font in Windows, but it is never added to the Magix Movie Studio pull down list of fonts to chose from.

I have had the similar issue with a different TrueType (TTF) font

Assuming you installed the font for All users, if not do so, reboot your computer with a full restart - Windows icon, Power icon, Restart this should rebuild the icon cache and the font may appear in the Movie Student dropdown.

In my case the font did appear in the drop-down, however it would not apply to the text.

If you can find an OpenType Font (OTF) version of the font install this.

Depending on the font licensing Terms & Conditions of Use for the font, you may be able to use one of the many TrueType (TTF) to an OpenType Font (OTF) converters available on the Internet. Conversion is at your own risk.

Thank you for responding. I did the standard Window restart again, and then attempted one more time. It populated in the Magix Movie Studio this time. Again, thank you for reaching out. I used to do video creation back in the 90s and early 2000s, but fell away due to work schedules. I'm just now climbing back into the saddle.
