Quicktime file with alpha channel

Hello everyone,

I got stuck with a problem that probably is very easy to solve, but I wasn`t able to find an answer on the forum. I have a Quicktime file with an Alpha channel that I am trying to use over another clip. It is an Earth rotating with the channel clipping it in the same file (it is an RGBA file), and no background.

But I cannot use the channel to clip the planet, and if I try to use Chroma key but none of the options seems to work right. Is anything I am doing wrong?

Or I need to save the channel on a separate clip? The video was created using 3D software.

Thank you very much in advance!

padieg,

Some time ago I did a little bit of alpha channel stuff using Cinema 4D. As you suggest, I used the option to export the mask as a separate clip.

Regards,

Carl
