hey tdott.. try uninstalling again and if you know how to edit the registry try searching for anything related MMM 2013 and delete it, I suggest you do a backup of the registry first and be very careful what you delete. if you are not that computer literat (no offence) then dont try this.  Also after you uninstall look through your c:\ drive to see if there are lingering files.  When you get this type of error it is typically an issue with a .dll file not registering correctly and because this was related to an update most likely the old .dll file was still kicking around and never got updated and was still registered. so before reinstalling do a complete cleaning for anything releated to mmm... A registry editor may help after uninstall as it may see lingering keys etc... and remove them.  Good luck

Hi

Welcome to the forum.

First:-

This is a user forum and not Magix support and as such has a set of community rules to be followed - these  appear to offline at the moment so I will give you a short introduction to them:-

While we appreciate that computer software can be very frustrating, as is apparent in the post, venting your frustration is not appropriate.

Please do not type in capitals - this is considered shouting.

Please refrain from using expressions like The damn thingWTF .. and Is that how you treat paying customers?

Comments like this will not endear you to other users on this forum, the result being they are less likely to help.

Be polite and give clear explanations of the problem and in responses to questions from other users and  avoid using 'texting speak'.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To answer your question -

When you uninstalled the software did you use the Magix Cleaner to remove the last remnants of the software?

Have you run a Registry cleaner tool on your computer?  If so don't - there are some which are not well behaved and remove essential registry settings.

Before reinstallation did you turn off the anti virus program?  Some A/V software can block/interfere with software installers.

By helping us we can try to help you.

John
