Section effect doesn't work

Ash wrote on 6/25/2017, 8:38 AM

Hey guys,

When ever I attempt to use the effect 'section' in Movie Edit Pro 17 it just appears as black screen in the export to Mpeg4. It doesn't matter whether it is full screen or if I overlay the section on top in a video in the corner etc. It appears to work in the program but on export it doesn't.

Can anyone advise as I am having to use the work around of using 'Size/Postion' and enlarge to fill the full screen. The effect works on Movie Edit Pro 13 but I am getting fed up of creating a movie only to have to export it via an older program.

Regards

Hi

We need more information:

  1. The program name and version number as found under Help, About.

  2. Windows version and if 10, was this an upgrade from 7 or 8

  3. Computer specification include processor make / model, Graphics card installed or chipset used.

  4. Was the effect working and has now stopped - if so what changed on the computer.

John,

1. I am using MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Premium Version 16.0.1.22 (UDP3)

2. I am using Windows 10, it was not upgraded from 7 or 8.

3. My PC Specs:

CPU: INTEL(R) Core™ i7-6800K Six-Core
VIDEO: MSI GeForce(R) GTX 1080 8GB
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS X99-E INTEL X99 Chipset
HDD: 250 GB Samsung 850 EVO SATA III Gaming MLC Solid State Disk
HDD2: 2TB Seagate SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 7200rpm Hard Drive
MEMORY: 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4/2400mhz Quad Channel Memory (HyperX Fury w/Heat Spreader)

4. The effect has never worked in this software since purchase, neither on this PC or the laptop I used prior to owning this desktop. It did however and still does always work on MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2013 Plus, leading me to believe it is a software issue or something to do with my program settings.

I'm just at my wits end with it and in all fairness, am yet to see the benefit to upgrading from the previous version I was using.

Regards,

Ash

Hi

. . . . MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Premium Version 16.0.1.22 (UDP3) . . . .

Thanks for the information.

You are missing several patches - the current version is 16.0.4.98 (UDP3), updating to the latest version should fix the issue - Help, Online update.
