I'm trying to export a video from Movie Edit Pro Plus. The source material is three MP4 files from the same camcorder, and the export is MP4. All of the project displays in the editor, but all of the segments from one of the MP4 files export as black. I was able to create a DVD from the project, so I don't understand why the MP4 export isn't working as expected.
Computer specification and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full - I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.
Are the graphics card drivers up to date?
A screen shot of the Program settings, Display options or Device options tab.
@Bryce-Hesterman I have the same problem with MP4 files (from the GoPro, see below), however I only noticed this when I applied an effect to the MP4s, such as adjusting color, saturation etc. If I just import the MP4s and arrange them on the timeline and then export the video, everything works fine.
Unfortunately, I need to edit some MP4s since the color is off. Now I have a video of all my MP4s with some "holes" in it, since the color edited MP4s are shown as a black footage in the Magix MEP exported MP4 videos. This might be a bug in MEP 21.0.1.111?

Thanks, I added my settings to my signature. BTW, your first link "this topic" seems broken.
I am suspecting that your processor cannot handle the Program fully as it is limited to only being able to access Direct X 10 and needs to be able to use Direct X 11.1. Its top core frequency and subsequent ram speed is also below the minimum specs required to calculate any subsequent processing the program may need to do in real time to handle any higher resolution video. This may also have a knock on effect to your nvidia GTX 1060.
Thanks for the heads up on the link, is now fixed.
The i7-2600 is certanly an older model, however there should be no issue with DirectX 12 as this is part of Windows 10 and the GTX 1060 does support it.
. . . . however I only noticed this when I applied an effect to the MP4s, such as adjusting color, saturation etc . . . .
However the lack of a supported integrated processor in the CPU - the HD 2000 does not support DirectX 12 may be the issue if this is being attempted to be used for export.
The screenshot of the Program settings, Device options tab would help. As @CubeAce has suggested Preview playback may be somewhat jerky with 4K UHD video.
The GTX driver does appear to be out of date the latest version is 497.29 (30.0.14.9729) for the Gaming Ready Driver.
. . . . What about the DDR3 1066/1333 limit? . . . .
This would only affect the data transfer rate - which I covered with the comment 'As @CubeAce has suggested Preview playback may be somewhat jerky with 4K UHD video.'
Exporting may not be as fast, however the reduce data transfer speed would not cause the black sections, the encoding is done in blocks, with the GPU waiting until it has the signal to say the data is ready, the same goes when a block is processed, the system takes it from where the GPU has put it, either to process further or insert into the file.
Speculating, this may be where the HD2000 is involved and it is signalling process complete but has not done processing resulting in a 'blank'.
The clue is the export is OK when there are no adjusting color, saturation etc effects - these used to be accelerated by the Intel iGPU.
For testing - if the HD 2000 can be disabled in the BIOS this would remove it from the equation.
