I purchased two licenses, one worked for 30 days and I never got the other to work. I was sent a serial number but now it says serial number has already been used. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still getting error 24. Tryed on windows 10 and 11 pro. Could use some help.
@Jesse-Boyland2330 - you should see your licenses in your MAGIX-Account under "Products" and therein see the activations made so far. Also you can deactivate activations to get a free "slot" for your new installation. But be careful, you can delete activations only once per month...
Typically this happens when your computer-hardware changes significantly so that it is not recognized anymore for your current activation...
Error code -24 means the serial number has already been registered to another email address. Are you using the same email address you used to purchase the software?

I changed my e mail address as it would not register again after reinstalling on same laptop
I am trying to fix it. I purchased 2 licenses from Amazon. One of them worked after going through the process of using the Voucher code.
I understand that the company need to keep track of the serial numbers/licenses, but there has to be a way to fix things that break down. Charge me but do not make me purchase it over again (full price).
I like the software, still a lot to learn. This was not a hobby, this was a business purchase. What is the solution? Who can generate new Vouchers or Serial Numbers when the process breaks down for customers.
Even if you have changed your email address you can use your old email address to log into your Magix account.
From there you can change your account settings to your new email.
Whether your purchase works or not could depend on how old the program is as some older versions were not made to work with Windows 10 or above operating systems or newer graphics cards. That is not necessarily the Fault of Magix, but the changes to hardware designs in newer components. The program may still work but lose some functionality due to that.
Nothing changed. Magix sent the serial number to my current email. Who can fix it. I posted a picture of the email. I am currently running a I7 Windows 10 Pro and a I7 Windows 11 Pro. I am reluctant about purchasing another one. I am currently running Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum which is running fine and a trial Vega Pro 23. They are running fine.
There has to be a way to fix at lease one of the Vegas Pro 22’s that I purchased.
Please help if you can. I have sent numerous emails to support. It’s going two months now.
@jesse-b The steps you need to do were already mentioned by @CubeAce
Please visit Magix.com and log into your customer account with your e-mail and password. Look under 'My Products' for registered software. If you want to change the e-mail you can do this in the account settings. Then activate your software with this new e-mail address and serial number on your computer. That's all you can do and that's usually all you need to do.
We are just users like you and have no way to change something in your customer account.
Jesse, an email address Magix was using recently for licencing issues was infoservice@magix.net.
I don't know if that is still working, but it is worth a try. Provide as many details as you can eg email addresses used, exact program versions, serial numbers, vouchers.
Also, the Vegas programs have their own forum. The link is at the bottom of this page. If you have no joy with infoservice@magix.net, try posting your issue on the Vegas forum.
I had one thought before this topic gets closed due to it being a Vegas problem is that if it is the licence bought through Amazon, Magix may have no way to help you as you would be expected to get in contact with the seller of the program at the point of purchase. We often find problems here with people posting about buying products from third party sellers unless it was a boxed version.
@jesse-b If you actually bought a used copy of Vegas from Amazon it might be the case that the previous owners didn't ask customer support to remove the serial number from their customer account. If that's the case, you cannot use the software and need to contact the seller, as @CubeAce mentioned.
Since you are clearly asking about Vegas Pro and these are not the forums for that software, please follow the earlier advice and post to the dedicated Vegas forums, here.
