setting the 360 default start view?

Hi guys Im currently using magix edit pro premium to edit 360 degree videos shot on my Theta S .Im trying to set the start postion view to a particular angel , any ideas how i might go about doing this?

I've not had the opportunity to try 360 degree shots, but the MEP 'Help' file (Top menu bar or 'F1' and searching for '360') gives some info:

Note for Ricoh Theta camera users: Although 360° photos from this camera can be imported directly into MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2016, videos need to be preprocessed before doing so. Convert 360° videos using the software included with the camera before importing them into MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2016.
Direction of view: Set the direction of view in the sphere or in the cylinder - what do you want to see? If the recording is slightly crooked, you can balance this out.

There's quite a bit more... I hope this might get you started.

I have Movie Edit Pro Plus 2017. I've searched high and low, but I can't get a solution to my problem. I am using the "360 Editing" and when I attempt to set the direction of view using the 'sphere' it distorts the video. It certainly doesn't work the way I've seen in tutorial videos that I've seen for the 2016 version. It's stopping me from progressing on a 360 editing project for a client but so far I can't find the answers.
