Should I uninstall an older version of Movie Edit Pro when upgrading?

I upgraded Movie Edit Pro recently and didn't uninstall when prompted because it was vague as to what this meant (uninstall what? old version? New version?). Now I have two versions (old and new) but I don't want to take up unnecessary hardrive space. If I uninstall the older version, will I be able to open and work off of older projects in the newer version?

@Damian-Hardeen

Welcome to the Magix forums.

Whether or not to uninstall the older version is entirely up to you! The fact that you received this option must mean that the "old" version is, quite literally, old. For all recent versions it has been Magix practice to have the "new" version automatically uninstall its immediate predecessor.

If you have a shortage of heard drive space and are considering uninstalling the old version to retrieve some additional free space I think my approach would be : keep the old version until you are absolutely sure the new works perfectly for your needs, especially with projects originally created with that old version. Once you have arrived at that position, you may decide the old version can go.
