Software Freezes after I start new (or load old) project

I just upgraded to Pro X 13 (version 19.0.1.133) form Pro X 11.

Every time I start a new project, after loading my first video track, the software freezes. Same with loading a project from my Pro X 11 folder. The only way out is to close the Magix Pro X 13 via Task Manager.

I use a DELL 5820 Tower, i9-9900X CPU with 32 GB RAM, with Windows 10-Pro OS.

Any ideas how to fix this? If we can't fix it, should I remove X 13 and re-install the old X 11 ?

Hi

The computer specification is incomplete - there should be a graphics card (GPU) in the PC.

Are the GPU drivers up to date?

Are the Import, Processing and Export options in the Program settings, Device options tab set to - the GPU , Microsoft Warp or CPU?

Download and install MediaInfo and analyse one of the clips and post the results, see this tutorial if you are not familiar with MediaInfo on how to setup MediaInfo and analyse a video clip to get the full data that you can post directly into a comment.

Hi John.

I have found that out of the two choices of Microsoft WARP and CPU that CPU does better on my i9-9900K than the WARP option and suspect @SteveLA system has been taking advantage of his CPUs additional cores, but with the more graphic card dependent VPX 13, has pushed the i9-9900X CPUs' processing to its limits.

Sorry, but I read your statement as something to be looking for within the choices within the drop down menu which of course would not be there. Vagrancies of use of a common language again 😉😂

Are all your Program Device Settings of Import / Processing / Export, set to the nvidia 3070?

What audio component does your motherboard have?

Also the GPU is RTX-2070. (not -3070 noted above) My bad. Sorry.

It is set as GPU-0

Checked my X-13 Settings>Program>Device Options and all 3 hardware acceleration items are set to RTX-2070.

Its still crashing within 2 to 3 min after load media. Same with if I load a previously completed project.
