Songs purchased from Store have disappeared from Audio tab in VPX/MEP

Hi,

Still with VPX12 (18.0.1.95) on Desktop, but VPX13 on laptop.

I have 7 Song Collections purchased through the Store within VPX12 that have disappeared from the Audio tab. They were there a couple of months ago as I used some in a project and had put hearts on some. I opened the project and the songs show up on the timeline, but they are not under the Audio tab. The collections no longer show up, not even as download icons in MEP2021 on my desktop and laptop, nor in VPX13 on my laptop.

The files are still under C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Videocontent\Video Pro X\ShopManager\...jibberish... but the programs are not picking them up.

The same song collections do not show up for purchase either in the Store or on Producer Planet and they don't show up under My Products in Producer Planet. Re-EDIT: Today, they are showing up in Producer Planet for purchase. There weren't there or I couldn't find them 2 days ago. Nope, my mistake - they aren't showing up. I got Chillout & Lounge Songs Vol. 3 but volumes 1 and 2 are not Chillout & Lounge Songs but rather just Chillout Songs.

For example, I have Chillout & Lounge Songs Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. I only see Vol. 3 in the Store and on Producer Planet.

Of course, I have the purchase receipts (emails) for each collection.

I can't find a way to "Clean up Store" like in Music Maker. Is there a way to do this for VPX/MEP?

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Not sure if it is related or not, but couple of days ago I checked if my MEP subscription was still valid (and it was) and I decided to download the file from My products logged into My Magix account.
I have had some issues downloading the extra content and decided to reinstall MEP using the newly downloaded file as I discovered it held the latest patch and not the original MEP version.
The install behave like the extra content downloader and the latest Music Maker was listed in the downloaded content. Strangely I noticed that this version (30.x.x.x) was newer than my current version (29.x.x.x) which I had just checked for updates and found none.

So I decided to install also the new MusicMaker
Once the MusikMaker was installed and I started it, I got a warning stating that some content would not transfer from version 28 or earlier.. I believe it was for unused coupons, but cannot exactly remember the wording.

As MusikMaker and MEP/VPX uses same account and store I suspect MAGIX have made some changes that may be the reason for your experience.

Just for information.

As a sidenote - MAGIX are not good (to speak miildly) in announcing patches and updates/upgrades in this forum - particularly on the English language section. Checking in German I often can see there has been an announcement that is not given to the English

Hi,

I don't think that this has anything to do with Music Maker. The Shop for VPX is completely separate.

Just to make sure, I opened the latest MMM2022 and cleaned up the Store. My songs still do not show up under Audio. And, I find it strange that none of the collections that I purchased show up in the Store or on Producer Planet.

I'll raise a ticket with Magix.

Hi John.

You may be one of the few that buy such things from the Magix shop when sites like this one are around.

There are many similar sites and even links within YouTube for copyright and free material that may be needed for video production.

Hi Ray,

Some of the Collections that I purchased were free. Watch for these freebies. Some were at a reduced price. Others, not expensive for what I got. They are categorized and usually come with BPM and it's easy to use them, get beat/snap markers, etc. I have many other sources, but I like knowing where the songs came from and knowing that I am under no moral obligation to contribute to someone after having used their song.

I also have SonicFire Smartsound and a bunch of songs. It would be nice to have a plugin for VPX for Smartsound.

I have raised a ticket with Magix.

Solution from Magix!

I should have figured this out myself.

Go to "Help > Delete local Store content" and restart the program (actually it restarts automatically). Now check, if the problem is solved. (You may need to redownload your Store content now). Upon restarting, everything was there. I first did this on my desktop in VPX12. Then, when I opened VP¨X13 on my laptop, all audio files showed up without having to do the same thing.

Somehow, there was a bug in the system and deleting the local Store content sorts out the problem.

One more thing, selecting "Help > Download my Store content" gives this message:

I presume that this makes a duplicate of everything such that it shows up under both Audio and Templates. I haven't yet tried it and I would like to know where the files would go to and what it looks like under Templates. To be pursued another day.
