Sound Forge Audio Studio 14 64bit, Windows 10 Pro Audio Dropout

Just upgraded to SF Audio Studio 14 from 13.

Tech stuff

{ Windows 10 64bit pro, build 20H2

AMD Ryzen 3700x (standard clock settings)

32GB 3000Mhz RAM.,

1TB Sabrent Rocket nvme system and app storage,

2TB M2 SSD file storage }

I use a small 16 channel desk that I use to feed in a stereo out from my onboard Realtek sound chip, also have a Behringer UMC 204HD that feeds into the desk with channels 1-4, grouped as 2 x 2 stereo inputs.

I use SF Audio Studio to clean up recordings, final mastering, and on occasion sample creation (tend to use Cubase 11 Pro more for sample editing these days).

Anyhow, the issue I am having is that when I jump to a different point in a loaded track within SF, the audio will not play. The location bar is scanning through the track, just can't hear any audio. When I load the track, I can play it all the way through no problem, it only happens when I click on a different point in the track. At this point it will play some of the track and then it will go silent even though visually the waveform signifies there is audio present.

The reason I mention the sound devices earlier is that I have the playback for SF routed through the onboard Realtek sound output, Cubase and Pinnacle Studio have their own outputs from the aforementioned Behringer 204HD.
Another caveat is that the audio files are in the same bit depth and sample rate so that probably rules out the most obvious question.

Any great insight into this would be awesome.

Thanks

- Does this happen only when the other audio apps are enabled?

- Does this happen with all audio file types? Specifically, PCM <.wav> files?

I have not used the Behringer interface or Cubase, so I am not that familiar with them. Cubase is muti-track software whereas SF is multi-channel editing... though some tasks can be down on either.
