Sound Forge Audio Studio Serial Number not working

I bought the Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum and I was able to register the other elements (Movie Studio Platinum & Music Maker) using my serial number. However, when I go to activate and register the Sound Forge Audio Studio 14 using the exact same serial number and method, I get error code 14 which says 'The serial number you entered is invalid or may apply to another product'. I'm using a PC computer. Any help on this issue would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

From what you write I assume you are trying to use the same serial number to activate SFAS as you used to activate Movie Studio. If so, that is not going to work, each app has its own, independent activation key/serial number.

You need to check carefully the email you received when your order was confirmed. Although you may not have needed a serial key for Music Maker (and so will have the Free version) both MSP and SFAS should have serial keys listed in the email.

I have this same exact issue. I can confirm I am not using the same serial number I used to register with Vegas. I also used the "Installation Program" link directly associated with the SOUND FORGE Audio Studio (VEGAS Pro 365) serial. Are there any other troubleshooting steps associated with this error? This is on a brand new computer, with essentially only drivers and Vegas/Sound Forge installed.

I have reinstalled Sound Forge successfully multiple times now, still not working.

Did you purchase Vegas Pro 365? As I understand, all the Vegas Pro 18 deals except VP-18 Edit, now include Sound Forge Pro 14. If you have a Sound Forge serial number, it may be for Sound Forge Pro 365. I suggest contacting Magix Customer Service for a definitive answer.

I have a similar problem with Sound Forge. I recently purchased Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 17, which includes Sound Forge Audio Studio 14. When I installed and registered Movie Studio, serial numbers were provided for several of the products (Movie Studio, DVD Architect, Video Sound Cleaning Lab, ReSpeedr), but none was provided for Sound Forge, even though the installer files were provided. I tried launching Sound Forge and then entering the Movie Studio serial number, but that failed. Per the product description, Sound Forge should be part of Movie Studio Platinum.
