I took a risk on buying this because the information just isn't out there about how to get FULL cd text. The option for creating a Disc At Once cd is greyed out. I'm hoping there is an inexpensive addition to this. What do I need to do?
Hi! Burn disc at once is always greyed out at first...you have to create cd tracks in order to use the burn disc at once, otherwise the program doesn't know what you want to be burned on the CD. So you can just highlight the first track and click Insert > CD track. Then repeat that process for every track you wish to burn. This is also described in the user manual...you can click Help > Contents and Index, and then search 'Disc at Once'. Hope this helps!
As Craig stated you must insert tracks (at least one). To view the tracks on the timeline, go to Options> Data Window> CD Tracks. If you wish to drag the audio data segments around, before or after adding tracks, use the 'Event Tool' mode. FWIW, I prefer to use the SCS legacy 'CD Architect' in the very rare instance an audio CD is wanted. FYI, 'CD Arc'used to be included with SF Pro, at least up to SF Pro 11. Prior to SF 7 (or so), it was an optional purchase.

I wasn't sure about which of the two places to start with. Focus on Insert or Focus on DAO.
So here is a new order of events. I have several tracks open, and the "Insert CD Track" is greyed out. Since I cannot Insert - I cannot create a DAO.
Also. Thank you for confirming I have the complete package.
Highlight one of the songs on the timeline (markers make it easier to select the song segment), Click 'Insert> CD Track' or use keyboard shortcut N. Repeat for the next track. btw, the CD track bars (at the bottom of the timeline) will be hidden unless the aforementioned "Options> Data Window> CD Tracks" is enabled.

The words "highlight" and "timeline" were the clue. As soon as I hit "Select All" I could add the track. Interesting process for adding tracks. It is not as cheaper ones do it by adding a file name but the actual sound.
Now, how do I add CD-Text. I assume, since I add the sound, the CD-Text doesn't get transferred. I also cannot find CD-Text or ID3 in either the help window or in the manual. Is it called something else?
I do see it in the "Track List". Do I copy and paste?
To add album, artist names ect., go to "View> Metadata> CD information" To add song titles, "View> Metadata> Track list". Alternately, you can right-click a track on the timeline CD bar, and 'Edit' the track a name there.
You can copy text from Notepad, Word, website, or just about any source that has text, and paste it into the pertinent metadata fields.
FWIW, SF used to have GraceNote, that transferred metadata from an existing on-line music CD database, but I never used it. I do not know if SF has something similar now.
As you are probably aware, many CD players inherently do not display the metadata text.
