Hit key T.

I suggest you watch a couple of the tutorials using the TUTORIALS link at the top of the page.

BTW, the Movie Edit Pro name was last used around five versions ago. Have you just bought it?

@badbob

@AAProds has given you the basics of the operation but, I have to ask: why would you want to do this?

Given that video runs at 25 frames per second (PAL) or 29.97 frames per second (NTSC), a video of anything more than a few seconds is going to produce a very large number of individual images.

To give a slightly more detailed (and slightly different) method of saving the individual frames you need to be in Timeline mode. Place the cursor at the beginning of a frame, then use File>Export movie>Single frame as... (and choose your preferred image format; each format has its own shortcut keys). Then move the cursor to the start of the next frame and repeat the process.

Jeff thank you, yes you wright. I know the problem with the large quantity of the *.jpg files. Sometimes i sitting long nights to save each individual frame to get bundle with 600+ files. Why i'm doing that? The video i'm filming yas a maximum zoom at big distances. I'm a budjet guy and my trypod very shaky, so to analize the video i need to place each individual file one on top another to eleminate shake and to stabilize the video. Stabilization in MAGIX very complex and don't do well on my shake. Old MAGIX has had some button where one click devided the video in to each separate frame. I need this option on my MAGIX.

@emmrecs

Hi Jeff,

A video can be exported as a series of frames in one shot. Best to set a range first.

File, Export Movie, Video as a sequence of frames.

@badbob

Hi,

But why would you want to do this? What exactly do you want to do?

If you just want to freeze an image from the video clip, then, depending on your version, in MEP2015, put the playback marker on the frame, right-click, Create still frame. This will put in a still frame that will replace all video to the right of it.

In more recent versions, and I don't know when this started, right-click, Insert still image at the playback marker, will insert that image to whatever duration you have set for images in the Program Settings. The remaining video to the right will be moved to the right.

Hi,

We cross-posted.

I see. I strongly suggest that you upgrade to Video Deluxe 2026 Ultimate (current name for Movie Edit Pro) which has proDAD Mercalli to stabilize video clips. Save yourself a ton of work. Just make sure that your equipment can handle the current software.
