Stabilization of 3D video applies different to left and right

I want to use image stabilization on my 3D GoPro videos. But when I apply the "VEGAS Video Stabilization" tool, it does separate evaluations of the left and right videos (even when I have both videos selected at the same time and I have previously configured the two files as a stereo pair). For the left video, it does an excellent job. For the right video, it produces a much more jiggly video (much less stabilized). This produces a stereo pair that is unwatchable. Since both images were recorded in the same GoPro housing, both images have exactly the same camera movements recorded, so I want to apply the same stabilization to left and right images. Is there a way to do that? Perhaps there is some stabilization metadata recorded for the left video that I can apply to the right video?

Sorry for the late reply but I just saw this. A suggestion would be to export the video and then reload the export and stabilize it.

@Norman-Thompson

Hi

Try copying the video stabilisation effect from the left image video to the right image video as follows -

  1. Select the left image video, then right click, Video effects, Copy video effects, and from the popup select Vegas video stabilisation and OK.

  2. select the right image and right click, Video effects, Paste video effects
