Suggestions about re-doing Light My Fire WAV File with MAGIX Music Maker

Hello MAGIX World!

I used ACID to change a MIDI File into an interesting version of an old OLDIES ROCK TUNE (Light My Fire)
There is no Lyrics -no singing, yet... (I will inroduce entirely new words if I can arrange the song radically different)

Now, I want to use MAGIX Music Maker to radically change the thing. (So I can use the song STRUCTURE) but make it into an entirely different song.

I made an effort at using the Harmony Agent tool within MAGIX Music Maker, but the two new tracks that Harmony Agent created from the File -exist but are silent... (although within the Harmony Window it does make harmony note sounds) -So, that approach seems lame.

I'm trying to understand how to play with MAGIX in a flexible-fluidy way by tweaking the tune -- it would be cool to have some of that ma ma ma ma ma type echoy stuff or some exagerated long windy guitar hovering over the existing rudimentary familiar 60's tune --I want to beef up the song, but change the tune so it no longer sounds (too-much) like "Light My Fire"..

*Using SONY ACID I've shifted the Stereo Tracks a bit, so there's a cool reverb like effect going on in a large hall thingy.. Its cool, but basically its "Light My Fire" elevator music version.

I need to learn how to completely modify the structure of this MIDI to WAV conversion in a radical way.

Please offer your suggestions about tweaking a familiar tune using MAGIX Music Maker.

Wah, Wah, Wah Umpf umpf boing doo dook bing ting ching change ling ling boom

Hello Karen - I have used MMM to "tweek" a few of my favorite oldies (for my own personal consumption only), but not to the extent you're thinking.

Unfortunately, MMM is simply a tool. It's not designed to do these things for you automatically, other than the Remix Agent.

There's nothing you could do to the original track to change it so that it is not still 'Light My Fire'.  There's nothing you could do to the original to completely clear you of any copyright issues.  The only legal way to do it is to get written permission from the copyright holder to use any of the original recording, melody, lyrics, etc.

What you can do is to use your own effort, creativity and talent to create something similar with the same feel as 'Light My Fire'.

"I need to learn how to completely modify the structure of this MIDI to WAV conversion in a radical way."

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this.

If you have specific questions about how to accomplish something, we'd be glad to try and help.
