Switch to Windows 10 & Cannot Activate Music Maker

Steve-Marshall wrote on 7/9/2021, 12:50 PM

I purchased a full copy of Music Maker and was running it on Windows7. I recently upgraded to Windows10 and when I try to re-activate MM with my activation code Removed by ModeratorI get an error that says:

"User Code: Removed by Moderator

Unexpected data recieved."

It then fails to re-activate. Please fix this so that I can use the software. Thank you.

We can't fix this as this is a user forum. We might be able to suggest some things. What version of Music Maker do you have? Older versions won't work on Windows 10.

@Steve-Marshall

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

I have edited your post to remove all the confidential data which should never be posted to a public forum like this one.

The "user code" which you posted suggests you are running an old version of Music Maker which, as @Graham-Hawker says, may well not be compatible with Win 10.

@Steve-Marshall Yes, it looked like you bought your version back in 2011 (it looked like Music Maker 15?) before @emmrecs removed your order number. I also suspect that an old version will have massive problems running on a modern Windows 10.
