The program gets frozen after every 3-4 steps of video editing

MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Premium is almost useless for me. I do not install a big update and all updates after it because the program gets frozen after every 3-4 steps of video editing and I have to restart the computer each time. It somebody had the same problem please let me know what to do.
