The red arrowlike line in the MIDI Editor

My problem: in the MIDI Editor of Music Maker, there is in the main field, a vertical red line with arrow-like endings, and it can be moved thru the screen along with the red mark line showing where to start the playback from. As I noticed, it limits the range of note pitch the software plays (notes inserted outside the red line range are not heard). My question: how do I change the line properties, like its lenght or vertical position?

Our problem:  You don't even mention what version of MMM you're talking about.  Some of us can't afford to buy every new version of MMM every 8-10 months, and there may be slight differences between versions we may not be aware of.  What would have been helpful is a screen shot of the MIDI Editor interface you're asking us about, because, at least to me, what you are saying does not make complete sense.

What I can say is that different MIDI instruments in MMM will generally play only their "natural" range.  They are not going to have a ten octave range.  Cellos will play in the cello range and violins will play in the violin range.
