Third-party instruments in MusicMaker

Salvador-Virgen wrote on 9/4/2020, 12:15 AM

I got a synth (Pendulate, from Eventide Audio). While I can make it work in Ableton, I cannot make it work in Music Maker. I do not know if his is because I have an old version (2017) and if so, if the 2021 version will solve this. The instrument comes in a single file with the extenstion .vst.
I changed the VST path in Music Maker to point it to the folder where this instrument is, to no avail.
Thanks in advance

Pendulate is a 64 bit synth so will only work in Music Maker 2021.

The purchase and installation of jBridge will allow 64 bit VSTs to run in a 32 bit environment.

So, if I upgrade to MusicMaker 2021 the problem will be solved? I am running 64-bit Windows 10.

@Salvador-Virgen

Unfortunately there can be no guarantee that the instrument will work in MM 2021.

Hi

Pendulate comes in 3 variants, AAX, VST2 and VST3 - I installed only the VST3 version and it does work in MMM 2021 - it appears in the Instruments tab and has some very interesting effects.
