Transfer to backup computer

Steve-Brecht wrote on 4/4/2026, 8:55 PM

I run Windows 7,mostly offline, using fully registered Sony Movie Studio 12. It is the only thing I do on this computer. But this computer is dying. I'm older and only make one small personal movie a year. But I enjoy it and would like not to have to learn a whole new program, etc. SMS 12 is perfect for my needs.

I want to install Sony Movie Studio 12, Sound Forge, et.al. on my backup Win 7 machine. Do I need to re-register SMS12, et.al.? If so, how can I get it registered again with Magix so I can continue using it.

Thank you so much for any help and direction you can give me. - Sgt. Pepper

@Steve-Brecht

Hello Steve, Magix has recently sold Vegas products to Boris. The Vegas forum has also moved. You'll need to go to this Boris forum; they should be able to help.
