As for exporting with a transparent part then the answer is unfortunately no,sorry, you would need to be able to export using a format that supports an alpha channel & as far as I know none of the MS formats do that, even the Export as png doesn't have a alpha channel.

Just put any object on the timeline and lower it's video level to nothing/zero (click it and drag the centre handle to the bottom). You'll have a "transparent" object.
