Perhaps it is time to know @shi-yashen computers' specs.

Thanks for the heads up, clip has been replaced - didnt realise ( no headphones on ) an export from MEP had finished and was playing under Travel maps while I was recording - it is the gentle susurration of the Indian Ocean.

Hi John.
Pink noise is supposed to help you sleep if you don't have waves to lull you but I find it just annoys me and is nothing like an ocean sound although I suppose if you raised and lowed the volume repeatedly it may seem similar.

I did and forgot to add in to my above post that I do not think it does need the same requirements - the export format is WMV which does not use HWA and, AFAICS, there is nothing requiring a high end graphics card or CPU.

Is that the output file container file or the way travel maps work internally? What is task master reporting when in use?
I'm only asking because on most other queries where there is no definitive answer at some point the question of anyones setup is nearly always needed to go further. In this instance we don't know the power of computer in question.
I haven't responded to this question directly as I have never used or played with travel maps and would not know where to start but if it needs 3D graphics support at any point it may well do better with help from a GPU than rely on CPU power alone.
At least that is my take on it given those testing it seem to have some form of working GPU within MEP.

Hi,
I tested the y_x_h.mxgeo file on my desktop and it hung at almost the end. I had to cancel. I then turned off "View follows path" on the View & Animation page and exported successfully. The problem may be with the number of points (3411 +/-) and trying to finish the video. I'll try this with one of my own files.
Has anyone else successfully exported the file as done by @shi-yashen?
I unchecked "View follows path" and export was successful.
@shi-yashen, try doing the same. Zoom out to see the full route, uncheck "View follows path" and export. Successful?

I too have tested the project file and get the same result - it hangs near the end, and unchecking path follows route does allow the export to compete.
Taking @shi-yashen mxgeo file I have tried replacing the labels with english text, removing all the labels, changing the play time of the project (multiplier slider) and it still hangs unless the 'View follows path' is turned off.

I also duplicated these tests with one of my own GPS files containing 8700 way points and the 'View follows path' does not cause an issue, I compared the saved mxgeo files to see if there was any difference, apart from the way points and the zoom level, the rest of the project file was identical.
Sadly I am out of ideas on this one.

Thanks for confirming. It would probably be best to send this file to Magix.
I compressed (reduced the number of points) the GPX file to around 500+ points.
Try this to see if you can complete the route the same way.

This problem requires TM developers to study and improve this problem.

I'm pleased that the compressed file worked.
I suggest that you submit the original to Magix and ask them to take a look at it. Send them both the gpx file and your mxgeo file.
That said, I also use Vasco da Gama which is much more powerful than Travel Maps. It automatically compresses gpx files (it does ask first), otherwise there would be too many points to make the program usable. Your route would be taken down to 100 points. These can be modified on-screen and points added/inserted along the path.
I also use GPS Utility to do compression, as I did with your file, sometimes combining routes and correcting errors caused at the source. GoPro, for example, is notorious for giving bad data.

However that would not explain why I am able to export a route with 8700 way points, with the view following the route.
As @CubeAce has been suggesting the issue may be with your computer specification, for which you have provided no details, and the number of way points.

Three of us have trouble with the mxgeo file not completing its export so I think that the problem has to do with the file rather than a computer problem. Magix is best placed to investigate.
