Trying to organize and delete presets in tools

Trying this in SF15 on Win 11, not paying for upgrade until I'm sure this works. I create a preset in a tool, for example - boost volume 3.0 dB in the Volume tool and hit the save icon. The preset is saved. Now say I want to delete that preset, I selecting it and hit the X icon. And when I hit the drop down for presets it is still there. Have tried this with many Tools and getting the same results. Is there a way to manage presets, delete and even organize them, like we used to using the Preset Manager?

Loyal SF user going back to the days when we ran it on Windows 9x.

Seasons greetings and welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users community @Richard-Hanley.

Firstly, I do not have Win 11 to test what you are experiencing.
Are you referring to Direct X or VST plug-is?. 'Volume' and other Direct X presets are removed amorally with the X icon in both Sound Forge Pro and AS (Audio Studio) on my Win 10 PC. To remove VST plug-in presets, the procedure is somewhat different: Open the plug-in's preset folder and delete the unwanted preset file <*.fxb> like any other windows file. Both DX and VST plug-in presets delete as they should in both SF-15 and 16 (Pro and AS).
The legacy SCS 'Preset Manager' can still be used for DX plug-ins and chains, but the chains will not open properly if the plug-in paths are different.. i.e.: from another PC. The individual plug-in presets in the chain can be transferred though and should work.

Otherwise, some of the SF-15 bugs remain in SF-16 and SFP-16 has it's own set of new issues that did not exist in SFP-15. If you are considering SF Pro-16, I would recommend installing the SFP-16 trial version to check it out on your Win 11 system.. and/or take a 'wait-and-see' attitude for the issues to be corrected. However most of serious problems with Sound Forge Pro 16 do not exist in AS-16... though I do not use or test AS on a regular basis.
