Unable to disable all pages from "Auto-generating canonical URLs"

I am currently using the latest version of Xara Designer Pro x64 (updated March 2025). Despite extensive research, I have not found a successful method to complete this task. I've come across various instructions online on how to disable this feature, but unfortunately, none of these solutions have worked. Could someone please assist me with resolving this issue? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

My understanding is that XDP is no longer sold by Magix so is now entirely supported by Xara. Or you can register at and post to the TalkGraphics forum for assistance from other users.

I honestly don't know. I've never used or been a member there but do know that other posters here sometimes refer users there.

But it seems, from that linked page, that registration is not possible and FAQ and Quick Links links do not work! I will tag @browj2 and see whether he has any insights to offer re the TalkGraphics forum.

I have been a member of TG forum for many years, having registered copies of Web Designer, from Magix, and now I repeatedly get this.

Last time I logged in was late last year.

I can change my password using the above, however, it still loops to the above page.

Additionally all registration is closed!

Is the TG forum shutting down?

Hi John EB,

No, TG is not shutting down, only temporarily, as per this message from the webmaster. They are trying to upgrade. TG has been hit by some nasty players recently.
