I keep getting message to check my internet connection, yet can download the initial installation file and log into my account. So obviously I am connected to the internet. Yet another computer is able to download the program and install it and activate it.

Are both computers running the same operating system?
Have you checked if your antivirus is stopping the download or not?

Yes both are win10 and both have norton Internet security. The desktop works the laptop doesn't in allowing the download and installation.

Look to see if Windows 10 are on the same build version. If not which computer has the download stopped?
Also is this a reinstall or a newly bought product or upgrade?

The second one is the problematic one. The first one worked for downloading the trial version with no problem.

You have 2 different versions of Windows 10 - 1909 on the Celeron N3050 system - desktop(?) - and Windows 10 2004 on the laptop (?)
Check that the following options are set in the Internet connection settings -
To access the above - press the Windows key then type Internet, from the results select Internet options then click the Advanced tab and scroll down.

I have checked all which you suggested, yet the same internet connection problem comes up when I get past the 1st exe file download. It will not go into the movie edit pro plus download.

There have been problems with this program downloading onto computers without the necessary graphics capabilities. It is also possible there are other problems to do with computer specs. At this point it would be useful to know the precise processor type and any additional graphics capabilities. In your second image that information was cut off at the top of the image.

Hi Ray. I sent a message earlier today, but for some reason it disappeared. I will attempt it again with photo of the system specs. The program installed earlier in the year and functioned but for some reason it started to put up message that a new install was needed because something was missing, and I have been struggling with the strange connection messages since.

You say that you were able to download and install MEP on another computer. The downloader file and the installation file should thus be on that computer, most likely under your documents, Magix Downloads:
C:\Users\Admin\Documents\MAGIX downloads\Installationsmanager
And, if you downloaded and installed the extra content, there was an option to keep the installation files and they, too, would be under Magix Downloads.
I suggest that you check there. If you have the executable files, then copy them and execute them on the other computer.
