unable to launch Music Editor add on

Dj_Sanjay wrote on 1/5/2021, 1:35 AM

Hey all Happy 2021!

I have the Music Maker Free 2021 (I'm assuming it is 2021 ..version number 29.0.4.25 64bit)

I purchased the Music Editor add-on for Mastering and Burn tool ...however when I select an object as other posts suggest to open the editor ...it gives me four error messages... I checked the path and it seems to be correct ... which is set to: C:\Program Files\MAGIX\Music Maker\29\MusicEditor\MusicEditor.exe

Any help would be appreciated...I'am confused about one item since it is definately not very clear to me in the Music Maker application store ... do I also need to purchase the CD/DVD burning add on too? Hope not ..as the text written in the Music Editor bundle when purchasing says "this package activates an integrated CD mastering and burn tool"

Any help is greatly appreciated guys!

Cheers :)

Hello and happy new year to you too.
I had exactly the same problem with the Music Editor contained in the Video Deluxe program and I solved it like this: you have to search the internet for the missing .dlls you posted in the images download the .dll and copy them to the Windows / System / Wow64Node folder.
Try launching Music Maker again and the Music Editor should work.
If not, uninstall Music Maker and reinstall it.

@Dj_Sanjay, @MauX-65

. . . .you have to search the internet for the missing .dlls . . .

Getting dlls from 3rd party's is not a good idea - you never know what you are getting and could end up bricking your PC or get ransomware installed.

Uninstall Music Maker and make sure you clean up any files left behind - the best way is to use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall, then scan your system for left over files and registry keys, check carefully that any folders and keys Revo wants to delete relate to Music Maker.

Reboot the computer then re-install Music Maker followed by Music Editor.

I would advise you to purchase Premium version of Music maker rather than by components piecemeal - you get full functionality, more Soundpools and Instruments plus the ability to use older 32 bit VSTs - and it works out cheaper in the long run.

Johnbaker, You were right to make this clarification.
However, after doing this, I still ran a full antivirus scan and no threats were detected.
Also because reinstalling Music Maker, as well as reinstalling Video Deluxe doesn't help much, the error is in the Installer.
Done this operation several times.
That is why I have reported this solution 😉

Thanks for reply...i managed to download all four missing dll files....I did make some progress....now when I follow the steps in Music Maker to launch the music editor I get the splash screen for Music Maker Editor V3 followed by another error message.

Not sure why I'm getting these problems using the editor feature, first time using and installing the MMM2021 program so no old remnants from upgrades lingering that could possibly cause errors...and first time activating the Music Editor.

Also just want to confirm again, do I also need to purchase the CD/DVD burning add on too? Hope not ..as the text written in the Music Editor bundle when purchasing says "this package activates an integrated CD mastering and burn tool"

thanks for your help again!

Completely uninstall Music Maker with Revo Uninstaller, just download the free version.
Completely remove any files linked to Music maker and then restart your computer.
Then download CCleaner and have it do a registry cleaning and only then try to reinstall Music Maker and re-download the Music Editor: it should work.
