Hello.Welcome.

Ensure your windows is fully updated. Check for updates on soundcard as well.

Use free Revo Uninstaller to uninstall Sound Forge software, check all folders in program files & programs files (86) and magix folders to make sure everything deleted.

type regedit in start box and go to edit, find and type Sound Forge and delete any remnants of application.

Restart pc, re-install software to see if it installs successfully.

Possible corrupted installation or files.

I concur, use Revo Uninstall and select the advanced scan mode to remove left-over registry entries and other leftover data. Geek Uninstall is another free third-party uninstaller which will clean leftover data. Both have a pro version as well.
If you have other versions of Sony and Magix A/V software installed, be sure not to remove shared data (.dll Fx files), which in a few isolated cases has been known remove some Fx plug-ins. Revo allows the user to pick and choose what leftover data is removed.

btw, welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users forum @Former user.
