We would be only too pleased to if we knew exactly what the problem is! Just to write that Update does not work tells us almost nothing, unfortunately, except that some update you have installed now renders some version and variant of MEP non-functional.
So, let's start from the beginning. Please read this post and come back with ALL the details requested there. Then tell us the exact version and variant of MEP which you have (Basic, Plus or Premium). You can find the build number under Help>About.
Then tell which update you are trying to install and use. I'm going to guess it might be the update to MEP 2021, which has caused a number of problems for some users, usually because their computer hardware, which was more than adequate for an earlier version, is now no longer so. Hence the request for the details listed in that linked post.
