Update to my endoding error question

I am using the Movie pro edit 2014. it's an hp windows 8 and it is brand new. I've used a few different types of dvd mainly the Sony dvd+R. The burn settings.  I try using what comes up and I've also tried changing a couple of things that didn't work either. When I first hit burn it tells me the move does not contain any chapter marker at the beginning of hte movie or automically create chapter markers at the beginning of each object. my choices are "only one marker", "automatic marker",  "more options"  I have tried most everything. When I hit burn the window that says dvd burning comes up.

1 Burner with a drop down       Disc information

Burning speed

2 Disc format                             Encoder settings...

3 Burn process/start video encoding                                    the burn symbol

Options

Add files                               Encode in ditectory

Information and that's about it. I have no"adapt"  encoder option.  I have tried so much and nothing is working. I put so much time into this and my family have been waiting on it. Most programs there is a support line but no luck.........................................

Hi.

Not sure I completely understand what the problem here is but if you are asking where to find the setting that allows MEP to automatically adapt the bit-rate to fit on the DVD, it is found when you click on "Encoder Settings".  The screen that then opens includes another button, named "Adapt Bit Rate".

Does that help?  If not, please give us a careful step-by-step account of exactly what you are doing and what is the result of each step.

You mention the message that MEP gives you about Chapter Markers.  Have you chosen one of those options and, if so, which?  You cannot create a DVD unless there is at least one chapter marker present.

The only other possible problem, though it ought not to be, is that you are using Windows 8 and there have been other posts on the forum about disc burning causing problems under that Operating System.  However, MEP 2014 ought to be able to burn successfully under Win 8.

One other possible thought: I always use DVD-R rather than DVD+R discs, usually manufactured by Ritek.  Perhaps try with a DVD-R disc?

It would appear that English is not your native language and so it might be difficult for you to write exactly what you are trying to say but, as users, we are all more than willing to do our best to help you!
