Thanks for that. Under Extra effect, I can only see "Plug-Ins..", "Scan", and "Downloads" - but when clicking on Downloads it only shows the "New Blue Stylizers" and their serial number, nothing more.

I also tried "Help" and "Install extra component" but it only shows me the extras that came with MEP 21, which I installed already, but not Vasco Da Gama which I purchased with MEP 2019.

Also, I explored "Help" and "Activate Content Pack" and entered the Vasco serial number, but it says "entered coupon code not valid".

Hi Chris.

Sorry, I was under the impression that you had previously installed the plugin and that this was a re-install of MEP.

This may no longer be possible under the terms and conditions of program. Your initial email contained the links for the install and it would have both warned to keep the email and to download the effects within 90 days of purchase as the download links only remain active for that period. Once downloaded and activated and registered with the third party if the plugin does not have a limited licence (some have a one or two year only licence) it will continue to show in the effects download list when MEP is re-installed.

If you still have your original email you could still try the link but it's a long shot after all this time.

Buonasera. Ho avuto anche io questo problema. Ho acquistato dallo storico Vasco da Gama 11 hd essential. L'ho scaricato e mi appare negli effetti. Nel riquadro di destra mi dice istallazione avvenuta. Ma se clicco l'icona non succede niente. Non vorrei aver speso 129,00 euro perniente. Come mi potete aiutare?

Thanks for that. Just to clarify, I had MEP19 and Vasco installed on my laptop that died, but on my replacement PC it will be a new install. I purchased and installed MEP21. But Vasco is the problem.
So I checked the original email, and while some add-ons and plugins have a time limit, Vasco doesn't have that, it just says:

And when I read the "above" it says:

But when I open the download manager, there is no Vasco da Gama, just the stuff that came with MEP21 ...

And @carlo-armaroli you said that "I bought 11 hd essential Vasco da Gama. I downloaded it and it appears to me in the effects." - that is strange, because when I downloaded it, Vasco da Gama was installed as a stand-alone software, independent of MEP.

Hi Chris.

When you had VDG on your system last did you also register its use with Motion Studios?

I'm not overly confident but if you didn't it could be a reason for it not showing up this time around.

All I know is I register all my newly acquired plugins with the product supplier as soon as I download them as requested in the original email from Magix when I bought my copies. Information of which can be found here.

The full bought versions may well be different as to how it can be used as 'within an editing package' or a version of Vasco da Gama may well have been produced for Magix which was standalone to encourage people to buy the full version.

Vasco da Gama is currently on version 15 so our versions that came with MEP / VPX are now quite old. Certainly to my mind the graphics look poor compared to the Magix travel maps supplied.

Yes, although the download shows within my copies of MEP and VPX it is the standalone version.

Finally, found a solution: 😃

Install the original MEP version, the one that you purchased together with Vasco da Gama 11 HD, on a PC that doesn't have the latest MEP version installed. Then follow this procedure:

1. Start MEP, click on "Help" in the menu bar and then on "Download extra content" or "Install extra content" - depending on which MEP version you use, since they updated the name of this menu item at some point. The download manager for Movie Edit Pro will open.
2. Check the boxes to select the Vasco da Gama.
3. Click on go / Run
4. Follow the installation instructions, BUT make sure you say YES when asked if you want to leave the installation files in the target dir.
5. Once the install is done, transfer the entire directory - mine was under C:\MotionStudios\Vasco da Gama 11 Essential - to the PC where you have the latest MEP installed
6. Copy the dir over and start the installer - in my case "Vasco da Gama 11 HD Essential_Eng"
7. Vasco da Gama 11 HD will install, and now you have the latest MEP version and Vasco da Gama 11 HD on the same PC. Enjoy!

Glad you found a workaround but make sure you register the products and that should not be necessary.

Ho eseguito le istruzioni. Ho dovuto inserire il codice di attivazione che mi è arrivato per mail all'acquisto di Vasco da Gama. Però poiché c'è scritto che le applicazioni sono state già attivate, devo ripristinare la attivazione. A questo punto mi dice di inserire il numero d'ordine ricevuto per mail all'acquisto. Inserisco il numero e mi dice che è errato. Invece è giusto. Cosa posso fare?

I have registered Vasco da Gama with Motion Studios, but they told me that doesn't matter or help in my case because I purchased it as ad on with Magix, so I have to recover my software through Magix - which I finally figured out how to do (my solution post).

Else please ask the support of MAGIX, they can tell you where to find the download link.
