@spuddy13

Hi Brian

. . . . are the settings from the past stored anywhere  . . . .

There is no 'history' of the presets that have been used, once you have changed a setting the previous one is lost, only the last export setting is 'remembered'.

For the project settings and the video the 4K UHD 3840*2160 59.94 fps option should be used

. . . .  wanted to create a video in a smaller size on output . . . .

What is the intended final format the video is going to used eg to create Blu-Ray disc, for Youtube or ?

The next step down from the source video which is 4K UHD would be FullHD 1920*1080 which will minimse odd size conversions.

Depenidng on the final resolution and framerate required the following options are available

John,

final destination is youtube so my sister gets to view my holiday films

cheers

Brian.

i did take note settings but trying to find them and there not in my docs folder now

p.s i have a 4k video camera and my phone is 4k i think

my finished video is usually about 33gb

i wish i could understand whats best quality and size for the youtube upload and stop creating 33gb feeder videos

that maybe are not required

the attached screen snaps totally confuse me

and i worked in I.T. for 40yr
