hey there... I am having some very weird issues when trying to add certain videos into a timeline...
for the fact that they will either...
1. change in length... or
2. the sound will not play
I can NOT understand what could be causing it.... I will record a video from my Moto Z phone in an mp4 format... and it will be at the length of, say, 49 minutes and 32 seconds... I transfer it to my Win 10 Home v.1803 HP Pavillion Desktop PC-570, i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60 GHz, 64-bit computer as I normally would thru usb... and will then test play the video in Windows Media Player and it plays as normal... so far so good... but then when I load it into MEP 17 into a timeline... it now suddenly appears as a 45 minute and 20 second video... it has subsequently chopped off the last 3 minutes... and it will not extend past the 45 minute mark... how frustrating... the file properties show it still at a 49 min. video... huh?????? I am at a loss....
another time I had loaded a different video... mp4 format... into a timeline and the audio would just not play... even though it plays in numerous other media programs... windows media player, VLC, iTunes, RealPlayer, etc... but just not in MEP 17... in fact the ONLY way I could get any work done was to use another program to "lift" the audio from the video as a whole separate file.... and then load it separately... to then have to take the time to line it up properly... etc... what an extra amount of work to do... again at a loss... so what is the deal here... I never remember having these issues with earlier versions of MEP.... can someone please share an answer on how to address these issues... I would be very much obliged... humbly... God Bless, Melo D
