Video Pro X 11 Crashes Every 5 Minutes

  • Software: Video Pro X 11
  • OS: Windows 10 22H2
  • RAM: 32 GB
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 Super (8GB)

Whenever I attempt to use Video Pro X, I get approximately 5 minutes of use before the entire program crashes and closes itself. It does not stop responding, it simply closes itself. I open it back up, get another 5 minutes or so of editing done, it closes itself again. This occurs even if I am not actively doing anything and / or have nothing loaded in the timeline. If i open the program and do literally nothing, it will still crash in approx 5 minutes.

The strange thing is- it occasionally will remain open without issue. If i am trying to export a video, i will make repeated attempts- reopening the program and exporting again until the program stays on for the entire export. This typically takes 50+ attempts. Once the program stays open long enough to export, it will remain open indefinitely. I usually just keep it open in the background so I dont have to deal with the export slot machine again...

I have tried enabling and disabling hardware acceleration. I have tried showing and hiding news. I have tried clean installs of GPU drivers. All of which I have seen as solutions on other similar but different issues in the forums. Nothing has worked...

I understand Video Pro X 11 is an old version but its great when it actually stays open. I dont really want to upgrade and i feel i shouldn't have to upgrade to fix this bug that is (hopefully) unintentional.

@MegaMooer

Hi.

Have you tried rolling back your nvidia driver to a much earlier version?
