Video Pro X constantly crashes or stalls

I have Pro X 19,0,1,123 and my desktop is an Asus i-7-6700 32 gb ram at 3.4 ghz.1070 gpu and yet there is very slow reaction time and program stalls frequently.Are there any suggestions on settings I could use on export, import or processing? Anything would help, Thanks,Dan

@Sense_Mary Mary, rather than do a re-encode, try setting up the MP42 decoder with FFDShow. I have a guide here:

@Sense_Mary I know you're on the Decoder tab there, but you are actually in the Encoder section.

Try setting the decoder in the Decoder section: from the Start menu, it's FFDShow x64 > Video Decoder Configuration x64 (not VFW configuration).

You should have a dark red icon at top left of the dialogue:

I did all the settings the way you showed my in the photo.
