Further to what @Bol has written, can you explain why you needed to reinstall the software? Was this as a result of the failure to launch, or for some other reason, something that happened before?
I ask because unless you ensured that the previous installation was fully removed before attempting the reinstallation, it is highly likely that whatever caused the original problems may still be present on your computer after the reinstallation.
If this is the case and/or @Bol's suggestion fails to help, please post back and we will offer more advice on how to ensure that everything connected to the earlier installation is removed before you attempt another reinstallation.

The reinstallation was due to the software freezing while in use. I discovered that the freezing occurred when using the preview; closing the preview window made the software work, but without the preview, it's practically unusable.
