video sound

I want to edit a video I shot with my phone with my Magix Movie Edit Pro 2013 but it has no sound when I try. If I watch the video using Quicktime it has sound. How do I fix this?

The problem with using mobile phones for video is that they often use none standard formats, sample rates and / or framerates.

In this case I would suspect the audio sample rate is 44.1kHz or lower, MEP expects audio in video to have a sample rate of 48kHz.

You could try one of the free video converters available on the Internet to convert the video to anoher format eg mp4 and get the audio bitrate converted to 48kHz samplerate.
