Righto - uninstalled again. Reinstalled - again. This in number seven I think - lucky maybe? I'm not holding my breath. This is what I have now. While the instruments do not show up in the proper place, it seems that at least some of them are available via the drop down, when the virtual keyboard is on show. Plus I currently have my infinite tracks back - for now. We'll see how a few relaunches affect that - particularly after one of the inevitable crashes . . . . . .

Wonder if I can bill Magix for all the time lost, spent dealing with this mess, simply to get to an approximation of the software promised?

Looking better. In your image, did you click on the gear and toggle Show purchased instruments?

I can confirm that MMM does not show up in my account as linked to a machine. I just see MMM 25.

Are you sitting down? Support got back to me a few minutes ago. Very apologetic and offering my money back as no solution is immediately available. However they are saying that the team is working hard to sort this mess out asap. I relented and said I'd hang on. In reality I would like to have this last version working. It runs vst's that version 2017 couldn't handle, nor version 2016 - well in the five minutes it worked, it did.

Yes, I noticed that the main folders are just called 25, after the version (I guess). Not even 'MM25' on my system. Maybe they are trying to save digital ink?

 

EDIT - rebooted the system to see how MM2018 fared. Now I can display the purchased instruments - well those that made it. However I'm back to being limited to only eight tracks. Not sure whether to cry or scream? If I do both it frightens the dog.

Edit 2 - Several hours on, and I've managed to have it recognise my 32 bit, third party vst's. Only took about ten restarts to accomplish, as it kept freezing. However, after a system reboot, I now discover that the software simply won't launch. It seems to load fine up to the normal layout, but is frozen. Windows task manager confirms for me that it's just not responding.

No, hang on - it's simply that it takes about ten minutes to load now. How many more disappointments can they load into one upgrade? Impressively appalling performance. Roll on the promised fixes that they are working day and night to deliver . . . . . . .

Hi again, just noticed in MMM2018 the Orange Vocoder is missing, or is me? I use it a lot, and that's how I found it was not there, in the new version. I went back to my other laptop with only MMM2018 on it and that too, had no orange vocoder. Could not find it in the store either, even under purchased items. Have we lost Orange Vocoder as well, I have paid for it in previous versions. Please help, I may be doing something wrong.😭

I can see it available in 'download all purchased products', Stephen. Didn''t notice it wasn't automatically installed, yet, so am trying to remedy that now. Hopefully it will be there for you as well.

Thanks a lot Nick, found it, must be getting tired and forgot, it's been a long journey, with this new music maker, I hope they don't upgrade to many times, or I will be a nervous wreck. At least Magix sent vouchers for all my purchased instruments and all is well now. Thanks for all the forum help, it was a great support, knowing others were in the same boat.🙂

Hi,

No new versions will be issued, according to Magix, only patches and new Soundpools, instruments, functions and presets, all to be available for purchase under the Store. We shall see.

Hi guys. see that a lot has been happening since I've been gone. First, thanks for keeping the thread alive and got needed attention from Magix - although unlike you guys Magix never got back to me about my email BUT!!! ....

I just logged in this morning (still on vacation) and saw that the instruments are still not showing up- checked Help> "Update Programm Online..." and saw about 87MB of new update!

The update automatically stopped, patched and re-started MMM2018 "premium" and showed ***ALL*** the instruments missing previously!!! 😲 (see attached image)

 

The red stars are what I already have in other Magix Products. The yellow star I purchased separately.

I'll probably wait until this is pretty stable to redeem my remaining 7 instruments. I'd like to use this in Samplitude Pro X3 Suite if I could else it would be a shame if I wasted my money and time.

Instruments I wish to get: (when stable)

Concert Guitar
Century Guitars
Electric Bass
Pop Brass
Saxophonia
World Flutes
World Percussion

I guess the "lock" symbols are ready to be redeemed (purchase?). I'll probably test it after I get one (again when stable).

I don't know what the lock means.

Did you try the instrument that you purchased with this new version in Sam X3 yet?

I believe you can't use instruments from one program in another so only those instruments that come with Music Studio will be active.

I have a free instrument credit left in MMM and tried to purchase one of the instruments vintage mid low brass but it just takes me to the full payment screen not the free instrument credit screen. These full instruments that I CANNOT buy with credit are mixed in with other full instruments I can buy with credit. Any idea how I can use my instrument credit to get these ones?

This thread was started 2 years ago and the situation was different. You should have started a new thread.

Magix has been offering some new instruments recently that were done by third parties. These cannot be purchased using the coupon codes. Most instruments can be.

Example, 1957 Wooden Clarinet is new and cannot be purchased using a coupon code.

Others that are recent (and a couple not so recent) and cannot be purchased using coupons are:
