[VPX] keyframes for "Section" effect

As you have found section cannot be keyframed to move from one area to another in the same clip, as you commented

make a cut at the point where you want to cut away from and reset the section on the second part to the area you need.

An alternative is the Camera/zoom effect which can be keyframed.

I also tried that, but the problem is that ratio is fixed, thus, loosing lateral material.

I know I can manually set an alpha mask... but seems so complicated for such an easy task, that I thought there was another way of doing it

@CubeAce, yes. But SizePosition is computed after Section, so you have [The Same Section] moving to different sides of the screen

I too am a bit perplexed over the requirements but it may mean you need to make a video of the clip with the pan as you want it first and then import that to size and position that cip to move as you need it to.

perhaps this is a better example:

Grandma filmed child doing gymnastik at school.... she filmed with zoom very far away... and not centered...

Need to stabilize video...

Hi

I would do this as a 2 step process to avoid stabilisation induced zoom and section/zoom interactions :

stabilise the video first as this introduces a zoom element into the clip in order for borders not to show, and export to Magix video MXV format
import the MXV clip into the project and use section/zoom as required
