VPX17 Dragging video clip from timeline to Project Temp Folder

Hi,

VPX17 23.0.1.269

New wrinkle in VPX17. Drag a video clip, trimmed or untrimmed, from the Timeline to the Project Temp Folder. The Type in the PTF should be Video, but now shows up incorrectly as Movie.

As well, the two buttons for preview, play and trimmer, do not show up. At least double-clicking on the Name puts the video clip in the Source Monitor.

Can someone who has VPX16 please check this?

Anyone else with VPX17 get the same thing?

I quickly tested dragging trimmed clips from both the Source and timeline into the Project Temp Folder, and then putting them back onto the timeline. Both now work correctly, that is, the duration is no longer 1 second (bug in previous version) but is the correct duration. But, the programmer still messed up, it would seem.

Thanks,

John CB

Hi john

. . . . Drag a video clip, trimmed or untrimmed, from the Timeline to the Project Temp Folder. The Type in the PTF should be Video, . . .

I can replicate this if dragged from the timeline. IIRC they were originally called Takes (Tak ?) and had a .tak file extension.

Dragging from the Preview monitor or the Media pool after setting In/Out points, they are correctly labelled Video.

. . . . the two buttons for preview, play and trimmer, do not show up . . . .

I cannot replicate this, they appear irrespective of the display format.
