Which files or folders in MMM Program contain my music files. I will have to manually reinstall due to missing registry link.

When I checked Control Panel, I found that the MMM Registry Key was gone.

As I have had trouble since August, opening Magix Music Maker I finally wish to uninstall and do it again.

I manually removed all files I could find to the Recycle Bin.

What I need to know, is which files would have contained my created music, so I can retrieve them

before I empty the "bin".

Hi

. . . . When I checked Control Panel, I found that the MMM Registry Key was gone. . . .

How did you do this - Registry keys are not available in the Control Panel?

. . . I manually removed all files I could find to the Recycle Bin. . . .before I empty the "bin". . . .

There is no need to do this - restore all the files to their original location then run the program installer and tell it do a repair - deleting the program files in not enough to remove the program.

If the program then still does not work run the installer again and un-install the program to let it uninstall correctly, then use the Magix Cleaner tool available here - this must be done to remove remnants that are left behind by the un-installer.

Reinstall the program

. . . which files would have contained my created music . . .

The project files have a file extension  .MMM

Hi,

Further to the answer from John, your files were probably saved in

My Documents\MAGIX Projects\Music Maker xxxx

with the extension .MMM for the Music Maker files. I put xxxx because you did not say which version you were working with. Any exports that you did would have the format that you exported to and if you saved them without specifying a folder, they probably went to

My Documents\MAGIX Projects\Music Maker xxxx\My Record

When you get the program up and running, go into the menu File, Program Settings and click on the tab for Files. This will show you where your files are located by default. You can change the default locations.

Good luck,

John
