Why does it take so long to mix down?

I had earlier version of Magix and it would render or mix down a half hour video that I produced in 30 - 45 minutes with no problem. However it became corrupt so I purchased the new version and this new version takes hours to mix down. This is the same computer with the same processor. This is very discouraging when I need these videos within an hour or so. What is the problem? Thanks

Hi John and welcome to the Movie Edit Pro users forum.

This may sound counter intuitive but try exporting and not ticking the 'Calculate video effects on the GPU' on your export settings and see if it makes a difference.

Also some of the new effects supplied are very processor intensive and will slow down exporting if used.

Without more information on your computer specification, and the video format you are exporting to we can only guess what the issue is.

Additionally what was the full name and version number (if available) of the old version you had?
