Video Pro X v17.0.3.68
On Windows 10 machine with AMD CPU and Nvideo Graphic card and 32Gb RAM.
Rendering:
When rendering to HEVC or MP4 you can only choose 25 or 50 f/s as max. I produce video with 100 f/s, mp4 format and would like to keep as much video data during the editing process - e.g. if I have to handle/edit a videoclip further in another editor or have to hand it over to someone else, who uses another editor and maybe on another platform all together, I can only save the video with 50 f/s as max. I can save my video in the Magix Video Pro X format with 100 f/s (though it's not listed as an option - You have to type it yourself - and luckily the Editor accepts the value). But the mxv format produces very large files and can't be transferred to another editor software or any video players.
Effects:
1.
I don't understand why you can't change or choose an order for the effects placed on a videoclip. And if you have used a specific order of effects, it more than often is changed when you reload your project the next time. E.g.: I use Neat video (which was my reason to buy Video Pro X in the first place) to clean up noisy footage that has been recorded under less optimale light conditions. I place this plugin first in my effect chain. Then I will add some effects to adjust the color, contrast, gamma etc. But when I reopen this project, the Neat video plugin is placed beneath the other correction tools. But in the Neat video plugin I made adjustments according to the raw footage and not the color, contrast, gamma etc. corrected video feed. It would be so much better if you actually was able to control the order of the loaded effects and had the possibility to rearrange them.
2.
The effect tab GUI is annoying. You can't resize it horizontally and thereby you have to guess the name of some of the effect plugins, because you can't read the whole plugin name in the list and there is nothing you can do about it. NewBlue fx is a good example. It is often a packages/group of plugins which all start with the same naming and that is all you're able to see. You have no way to veryfi if it is video effect package 1,2,3 or 4 or ect. You have to guess. And if you have many plugins, the scroll function is too sesitive. You go from top to bottom of the list in a blink of an eye.
Acceleration:
You list that in the newest update of Video Pro X you have included Intel quicksync and Nvidia optimisation and there by made the program 8.5 times faster. In my book Quicksync is old news and belong to the past. Nowadays I am more concerned if the editor program is optimised for CPU core counts, as AMD Ryzen and Threadripper is far superior (and in most cases much cheaper) and is what I use now. But maybe the use of these CPU's doesn't need video renderer optimisation? Not to mention Nvidea optimisation and non for AMD Radeon.
