Thanks for this suggestion. Unfortunately, it can (and does) happen, for me at least, with new projects also!

I tried that and several other things. Sometimes the project closes, but not the program. I can live with it until Magix comes up with a system fix...

I thought my initial problem was solved by upgrading to Version 13, but it was not. Import of the video with audio went fine. I just finished editing the piece, but on exporting I got the same audio error I was getting prior to using version 13.

Can you post a MediaInfo analysis of the exported clip and a screenshot of the export dialog/preset you used.

I realized I had used a short clip of the old audio. Changing that seems to have done the trick. The MP4 at full hd is processing right now. I hope to have it on YouTube by Monday. Thanks for your great help and have a great Thanksgiving. Jim
