Windows 7 & MEP 14 & MOV files

I have recently purchased a new computer running Windows 7 and installed my MEP 14 onto it. I now find that I cannot move  MOV files from My Media into the edit area.  These files run fine on the computer  but MEP 14 does'nt seen to recognise them.  The worked on my old computer  which was running MEP 14 and Windows Vista.  What do I need to do to get these files to work on my new computer.  Brianmal

It might be that the compatibility of the Movie Edit Pro 14 is not able to read in the file. I am uncertain, I couldnt get my MEP 14 to install.

Hi Brianmal, that's the thing about non Win 7 compatible progs. They MAY work, but it's not a real option. Usually getting uptodate with quicktime helps, as mov handling in MEP runs via this. If the file plays ok on your computer, then that probably won't help. All I can think of, except getting a program that is a bit more uptodate. Worth a try though. Cheers, M o' L.
