YouTube probably changed something in its API and now it doesn't work anymore. Until Magix releases a patch that fixes this problem you need to upload your video manually via your web browser.

I pay for the 2021 Magix Pro version and Youtube doesn't work, this along with numerous bugs is a disgrace you buy a new version thinking the issues might be sorted but they never are, as long as the advert appears everytime you open Magix seems to be all they care about.

Hi

As @SP. has commented YouTube appear have changed their API again - the workaround is as commented above, it also has the additional advantage that it gives the opportunity to check the video before you upload it.

. . . . this along with numerous bugs is a disgrace . . . .

Did you search the forum for possible solutions to the 'bugs'? If not do so the Search box at the top of the forum page and also available by clicking your avatar at the top right of every page when you are logged in to the forum.

Many 'bugs' are due to system requirements not being met, misunderstanding/unfamiliarity of how the program works or the changing of parameters which should not be touched without more in-depth knowledge.

If you cannot find your issue then post a new comment giving details of the issue(s), also put your computer specification and version number in your signature for future reference - see this topic for the details required and see my Signature as an example - this saves having to ask for it and ending up with a 20 questions topic just to get basic information.

I'm having the same problem uploading to YouTube. I've searched the forum and haven't found a fix for this issue.

@john24

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

The solution is still exactly the same as that given by @SP. and slightly expanded by @johnebaker.

@steveh3100 @john24

Hi,

I uploaded a tutorial to YT yesterday with no problem - but not using the upload from within MEP or VPX. As was pointed out, YT often changes the way it works such that programs like MEP and VPX can no longer upload directly. YT does not give video program manufacturers any advance warning. All video programs that use this method suffer the same problem. Frankly, they should all remove this feature.

@john24

Upload the normal way - and that is not through any external program. You go to your videos in YT which opens YT Studio or open YT Studio from your profile, and click on Upload.

Of course, you first have to export your video to a format acceptable to YT. Then, you watch it to make sure that it turned out ok. It probably did not. Edit the project, export, watch, repeat. I am rarely satisfied with the result after the first export. When you're satisfied that you have it right, go to YT and upload the file, filling in all of the information that you want in YT Studio.

Create a thumbnail the way you want, not one of the frames that YT selects, and upload it - in the YT interface.

So, I can't understand how you can't do this. This is the normal way to do it.

Do you know how to export to an MP4 file?

I know how to upload videos in YouTube. My frustration is that I wouldn't have purchased the continued update service had I known this function wasn't going to be working anymore. I'd have just used Adobe Premiere.
